Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 16, 2026

Similr ("Similr," "we," "us," or "our") provides an AI-powered messaging and workflow assistant for real estate, small businesses, and sales teams. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Summary

The full detail is below. In short: Similr replies to inbound messages, uses business and conversation data to operate the service, does not use that data to train public or general-purpose AI models, and keeps each account's data separate from other accounts.

  • Inbound conversations. Similr is designed to reply to messages sent to your business number. It does not initiate unsolicited SMS conversations.
  • No public-model training. We do not use your business data, your customers' phone numbers, or your conversation histories to train public or general-purpose AI models.
  • Separate accounts. Your business and customer conversations are kept separate from the data of other Similr accounts.

Information we collect

When you create an account or interact with a Similr-powered number, we may collect:

  • Identifiers and account information: your name, email address, account credentials, phone number, and account identifiers.
  • Business and commercial information: details about your business that you provide so Similr can represent it accurately, including your business name, phone number, listings, services, pricing, inventory, hours, and other knowledge-base content.
  • Conversation information: messages exchanged between leads or customers and your Similr number, AI-generated replies sent on your behalf, appointment details, and information or preferences shared in those conversations.
  • Payment information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, a payment processor collects and stores your card details. Similr does not receive or store your full card number.
  • Internet and usage information: basic information about how you use the dashboard, such as pages visited, device or browser information, and service activity.
  • Inferences: information generated from conversations and business data, such as lead status, intent, sentiment, summaries, appointment state, and recommended next actions.

Sources of information

We receive information directly from you, from people who message your Similr-powered number, from your use of the dashboard, and from service providers that support account, messaging, payment, hosting, and AI functionality.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Operate and maintain your Similr account and dashboard
  • Generate AI replies to inbound messages from your leads and customers
  • Send and receive SMS messages on your behalf through our messaging partner
  • Process subscription payments and send billing-related communications
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
  • Maintain service operations, prevent abuse, and improve the Similr service

SMS messaging & consent

Similr is designed to reply to messages sent to your business number. We keep a timestamped record of each conversation from its first message. By using Similr, you are responsible for having an appropriate basis to communicate with the people who message your business and for following applicable messaging laws and carrier requirements. Anyone messaging a Similr-powered number can reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages, which we honor automatically, or HELP for support contact information. Standard message and data rates may apply on the recipient's end.

AI data processing & model training

Similr uses AI to understand messages, generate replies, recognize intent, support scheduling, and prepare conversation summaries. Conversation content and relevant business information may be processed by third-party AI model providers that help us operate these features. Similr does not use your business information or customer conversations to train public or general-purpose AI models.

Data siloing across accounts

Each Similr account's business information, customer phone numbers, and conversation history are kept separate from other accounts. Similr uses account-specific access controls so one customer's account cannot access another customer's data.

Encryption & security

We protect your information with strong, industry-standard security controls designed for sensitive business and customer data. Access to information is limited to what is needed to operate Similr, and we protect the systems and credentials that support the service. We update these protections as the service evolves and provide notices required by applicable law if we discover a security incident affecting your information.

Third-party service providers

We work with service providers that support Similr, including AI model providers, SMS carriers, payment processors, and cloud infrastructure providers. Each receives information needed for its assigned function.

We do not sell your information or your customers' phone numbers to third parties.

Our role: who's responsible for what

For account information you provide, Similr determines how that information is used to provide and support the service. For lead and customer information submitted through your account or received through your Similr-powered number, your business determines the purposes for which the information is used, and Similr processes it on your behalf to operate the service, generate replies, maintain conversation history, and provide your dashboard. Your business remains responsible for providing any notices and meeting any privacy or messaging requirements that apply to your use of the service. If your business needs a formal data processing agreement with Similr, contact us below.

Cookies & local storage

Similr does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The dashboard stores your session token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. This data stays on your device and is cleared when you sign out.

Data retention

We retain account and conversation data for as long as your account is active, so your dashboard's history stays intact. If you delete your account, we remove the account record; limited information may remain for a period of time when needed for service operations, security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Service providers may also temporarily retain limited information under their own applicable policies. Under our current AI service configuration, limited message content may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and security. This information is not used to train public or general-purpose AI models.

Privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, access or receive a copy of it, delete it, correct inaccurate information, opt out of certain sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and appeal a decision about a privacy request. Similr does not sell your information, as described above.

You can update business information or delete your account from the Account page in the dashboard. For access, correction, opt-out, appeal, or other privacy requests, email contact@similr.me. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before completing a request and will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Children's privacy

Similr is a business tool intended for use by adults operating a business. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
